Hello there!  You may be wondering what Brotherhood is, otherwise you would not have clicked on it.  Maybe you were looking for some more pictures of smiling faces, or a free coupon to Dairy Queen; who knows, but if you were truly interested in what Brotherhood is, then you’ve come to the right place. Here is Urban Dictionary’s take on Brotherhood:

“-A group of gangsters who have hoes on their knob, but may not have a job. They enjoy norp here and there and are proud members of a restaurant organization such as Taco Bell’s SPICE UP THE NIGHT CLUB.”

This quote is fine and dandy, but I don’t believe it represents the Brotherhood we believe in.  Here is another quote from Urban Dictionary.  It’s a little bit…. actually it’s a lot a bit better:

“-The difference between Brothers and Friends.

-A friend will try and talk you out of a fight, where a brother will talk $#&@ right with you, no matter who is right or wrong.
-Friends can get into unfair fights with other people, where there is no fair/unfair with brothers, you all fight or none fight.
-A friend will loan you money for your #4 with fries and a coke, where your Brother will pay for it without offering, or expecting anything in return.
-Friends have each other in their contact list; brothers have each other in their emergency contacts.
- Friends chill together, Brothers grow together.
-Brotherhood is a bond in blood, friendship is just a word.”

The group of men that make up this Fraternity are not just a jambalaya of friends with the sole intentions of having a good time and getting by.  No, we are Brothers who work hard each and every day to make ourselves, and everyone around us, better people.  Friends come and go, but Brothers last forever.  We fight, we love, we laugh.  This Brotherhood is a family, and what each and every one of us puts into it is exactly what we get out of it.

It takes hard work to form the bond which we share, but it is worth it.  If we can have fun while we becoming better Brothers, then everything we share is that much better.  Now, I can ramble on for a good while because I like to write, but Brotherhood is something that can only be experienced first-hand.  Lambda Chi Alpha has changed each and every one of our lives for the better, and it can do the same for you, website visitor.  Please continue to mosey around this beautiful website and see all that this Brotherhood has to offer, but most importantly, experience what it has to offer.
